A Weekend Away

This past weekend was hunting opener for all the guys. So the ladies headed out as well… to a creative weekend at the “Crafter’s Cottage” in Pine City. Three days of scrapbooking, card-making, Christmas projects, eating, laughing and fellowship. These ladies were so creative and inspiring! I’m really excited about all that I got done this weekend, and my new goal is to catch up on all of my scrapbooks this winter. I am many years behind, but I realized this weekend that if you just set aside a few weekends here and there, it’s amazing how much you can accomplish! Today I am working on cleaning out my Creative Closet and organizing all of my scrapbooking supplies so I’m ready to go.
The Cottage was adorable. It sleeps 10 women in 5 rooms with single beds, and it has a beautiful kitchen, dining room and living room to use. Our meals were catered so we wouldn’t even have to stop and cook. Nice! The huge crafting room had everything you could think of to use: tools, cropping systems, color printer, extra supplies, brads, ribbons, everything! You name it, they had it. The hours flew by. It started to snow, so the ladies put on Christmas music… and no men were there to complain! I missed my hubby, though, and it’s always nice to come back home. And he’s glad that he gets to eat again, now. Sheesh.
